Polish Scorer United Bound?

The Euro 2012 Finals finally got underway yesterday.

Almost immediately we find our name linked to one of the stars of the opening fixture.

Poland, got the action underway, in a 1-1 draw with Greece, with the first goal being scored by the host nations Robert Lewandoski.

Lewandowski, a hero of Borussia Dortmund`s League and Cup double is United bound according to the Polish coach Franciszek Smuda.

I wonder if Sir Alex knows about this!

He's a good player no doubt and is especially deadly in the box. I just don't see the sense in the signing though if true, we've got 3 strikers already and outside Welbeck, Rooney and Hernandez none of the other strikers got a chance. If we need a 4th back-up striker look no further than Macheda, King and, when he's fit again, Keane.

Sign him up. He is the type of front man we are lacking, for all the great things about Hernandez and less so about Welbeck, this Lewandowski chap has good aerial ability, strength and presence in the box. We have some great wingers in our team, who can get great crosses into the opposition area and far too often we've only had small forwards up front and therefore lost possession. Besides if we are going to keep going around buying up a whole new u16s side, we had better start buying for the here and now. Lewandowski, Kagawa, Strootman, a right back and we will be in a lot better shape next season. And Messi too.
