Two More to Come?

With the deal for Shinji Kagawa all but done, the gossip grapevine has United linked with two further acquisitions.

One is a target we`ve already covered recently, a reported interest in the Everton full-back, Leighton Baines and the other is the Tottenham midfielder, Luka Modric.

As far as Baines is concerned, we`re not aware of any official bid being entered yet but speculation now has the player linked with a move to the Serie A side Napoli. This insinuation has also seen the price take a sudden jump to a mind-boggling £20 million, way out of a respectable price tag we reckon.

As for Modric, it remains to be seen if the Croatian can be lured away from White Hart Lane when you recall that Spurs resisted overtures from Chelsea last summer, overtures that would have seen them recoup something like £35 million for the player.

Don't want either of them, there's too much money involved with both of them. Dembele can play the deeper playmaker role and will cost (accoriding to the papers) 10 mil (realistic considering he's in the last year of his contract). There's also younger options at LB who can provide solid competition and back up to Evra who won't cost 20 mil, which is ridiculos money for a back up player anyway.

Back up to Evra? Ah c'mon Famous, Evra's legs are gone, Baines at this stage is a better player than him.

Baines would be a good signing but would probably signal the end of Evra's UTD career, which hasn't gone well lately. I just don't see what the big deal is about Modric, and at that price they can keep him. Dembele lolol No!!.
