'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nani - Time Up?

Saturday`s tabloid press reported that our Portuguese winger, Nani, may be looking to move on.

It appears that contract talks, if the tabloid press are correct, are not going according to plan and that having won most conceivable honours at Old Trafford, he could be looking elsewhere with the winger remarking,

"I have had five seasons at Manchester United and have won all the titles. I am really happy but I don`t know about my future. I will study opportunities. Football is not only about England or Spain. It is possible to enjoy success in other countries."

"My agent is waiting on news about United. We have presented a counter offer and now we are waiting on an offer from the club."

So is this the usual contract bullshit or should we be worried about Nani leaving Old Trafford.

But who will do the Michael jackson impressions now? LOL! On another note, he is reported to be asking for a lot more money than you are offering. That's the price you pay for making Shrek the best paid player in the league - everyone else get's jealous.

Keeping Rooney could prove to be more trouble than it was worth. The club will have to set a line now saying you ever get what you're given or you're gone and unfortunately it will be one of our few game changing players in Nani who will be the one to feel the consequence of reinstalling this mentality. It would only be Nani though who would even try this though, the rest of the squad understand Rooney is Fergies golden boy and he would have no issue getting rid of anyone else if they held the club to ransom. Despite being a fantastic player on his day he's still inconsistent (luckily still has time on his hands to sort that out) and his ability doesn't reflect his demands. Nani needs to understand that playing for us is as good as its ever going to get for him, the only step-ups in football, Barca and Madrid, don't want him and if he leaves he might get his wage demands but he won't be winning trophies equivalent to the premier league or champions league ever again whilst plying his trade at a PSG, Anzhi or Malaga. He says he's happy at United so it's evident his head has been swayed by money, even moreso seeing as he said its not england or spain (when its clear the PL and la liga are the two most presitgous leagues) and whilst I like Nani, he's our only player in the current squad who has the ability to be our no 7, I'd sooner see him leave than hold the club to ransom and show his mercenary side. It's not like there's no other options out there. If Nani leaves I'd like to see us go for Gaitan and whilst I'm being wishful just add him to the clyne, olsson, Dembele, fellaini and Kagawa signings :P
