Rooney - Ready, Willing and Able!

As Roy Hodgson`s preparations for the Euro 2012 Finals look set to fall apart in a plethora of midfield injuries, a certain Wayne Rooney will only be a spectator for those first two group games.

Serving a two game ban, Wayne will have to hope that England do sufficiently well, in those first two games, to still be in with a shout of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Rooney though, is primed and ready to give his all proclaiming to the media, yesterday,

"I`ll be ready if needed. It`s important I do my training right."

"With missing the first two games, you never know if the new manager`s got you in his plans or wants to have the same players involved in all the games."

"But I will get myself ready and be as fit as can be."

We`re quite sure that you will be at the forefront of Roy`s plans and that once you are available you will be leading the attack.

Continuing, Wayne also spoke about the base, for this tournament, being more environmentally friendly than that chosen for the last, in South Africa, remarking,

"In South Africa at the World Cup we were really isolated from the town centre."

"Here we can go out of the hotel if we want and relax a bit - but that doesn`t mean we are not aware of our roles."

Given all the news about the right-wing nature of some of the venues chosen, I wouldn`t stray too far Wayne!

I can't imagine too many England players wanting to stroll around.
