Powell Update

Our pursuit of the promising Crewe teenager, Nick Powell, continues.

As far as we can make out, a bid has been submitted and the indications are, from Crewe, that it is an acceptable bid that they`ll find hard to turn down.

Confirmation that we`re heading down the right track to secure the player come from reading between the lines of a few quotes given by the Crewe chairman, John Bowler, to the media, quotes that read,

"There is a time when it is right for our players to move on and Nick is right at the front of that queue."

"We need to gauge what is right for us in terms of value and what is right for the player. We have a lot of investment in the lad."

Could there be anywhere more right than Old Trafford?

Hopefully we'll see the lad wearing United colours real soon. Even more hopeful he'll fulfill his potential and become a regular and United legend and fill the world class gap that's missing in midfield. Even more hopeful maybe he can come in and make an instant impact.
