Champions League Draw

Manchester United have drawn what on paper, could look like an average group for this years Champions League group stage.

Yet again United and Benfica will meet, however one of the best reported stories I am sure will be the fact that The Reds will now face Scottish champions Celtic. It's just a shame Roy Keane isn't still there, that would have been fun!

Making up the final draw is FC Copenhagen, whilst one of the lower quality teams that could have come from the draw, will sure to be no pushover.

The others:

Chelsea: Interesting group that one, obviously Barca will mean more great football on UK TV, even if we have to listen to Jose complaining every 5 minutes. Apart from the Spanish giants, tough games at Werder Bremen and Levski Sofia await last years league winners.

RedScouse: There aren't any 'easy' games in the Champions League and this proves it. Liverpool have drawn some awkward looking ties against PSV, Bordeux and I'm sure they'll be looking forward to their trip to Turkey to face Galatasaray.

Arsenal: Last years Cup finalists will face Moaninho's old team Porto, along with Red-Rom's Russian toy CSKA Moscow. Hamburg make up the last of Group G.

So who's going to go through, will we race through our group. Are you looking forward to the England V Scotland tie? Let us know!

Hopefully both Utd and Celtic get through, but Benfica will be tough, remember last season lets hope we can get some revenge. It could of been worse, i wouldnt of fancied a trip to eastern europe, but a trip to glasgow against Celtic will be great, they have great fans, a great stadium and share a lot of history and a strong bond with Utd. Its a pity about Keano alright but i reckon he'll be at OT and Parkhead for the matches, i wonder who'll he be cheering on.

Seems like a decent draw, then again I remember you saying that last season!!!
dazza71
we should get through easily

That's what we thought in Iraq.

If Utd go into the matches that cocky there could be a shock instore, last seasons group looked fairly handy as well but we struggled and then suffered the indignity of being dumped out by Benfica after 2 inept performances, but fingers crossed we wont be as bad as last season.

I bet Keane regrets leaving now!

Keane didn't "leave", he retired.
