Last season one player, bought by Newcastle in the transfer window, illuminated the Premier League.
The Senegal international, Papiss Cisse scored 13 goals in 14 appearances including what many perceive to be the best goal in Premier League history, against Chelsea.
However the gossip columns are now inferring that Newcastle, as well as possibly losing Demba Ba, could well lose Cisse as well with ourselves and our noisy-neighbours (they who buy everything that breaths) leading the way.

Cisse seems a bit of a flash in the pan to me, and it would be a big risk for any club to pay a huge fee for him on the basis of a half-season. His stats before Newcastle were nothing special, so whilst there's a chance he'll replicate his form of last year, I'd say there's a greater chance he won't.
