'If It's Football, It's Vital'

1 in 10

Our history, our legacy and our name makes us one of the most recognizable brand names in the world.

Financial streams from that brand all go towards keeping the legacy moving forward and the fact that Premier League football is now being marketed on a global scale has seen our fan base grow remarkably quickly.

A recent report, details of which hit the tabloid press this morning, shows that in the space of just 5 years our support fan wise, across the globe, has doubled to a huge 659 million which equates to something like 1 in 10 of the world population.

Of this huge figure, it`s calculated that 88% of this support comes from emerging countries like China and an example of the merchandising possibilities is proven by the fact that 10,000 United branded Honda motorcycles were shipped to Thailand and sold in just two weeks.

We`ve already see the crisps that are sold in the Far East with United player`s faces adorning the packets, which makes me wonder where will it all end!

Who compiled the report Red Boy? Was it U*d themselves by any chance? And how did they calculate that figure? It is horse*****, clearly designed to heighten interest for the float on the Asian stock market.

The study is a load of nonsense yeah but if the market ploy works then who am I to argue?
