'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is the End Nigh?

At the age of seventy, we`re realistic enough to accept that Sir Alex Ferguson can`t go on forever.

Sooner or later the Scot will have to call it a day but is that time coming sooner than later?

The reason we ask is that his good friend, Dave Whelan the Wigan owner, has implied that Sir Alex will call it a day at the end of next season.

Could it be true?

Fergie has always said he'll only stop if his health causes him to and whilst his had a health scare, I think he'll see how his health holds up after this season and make a decision from there. I doubt anything is cast in stone at the moment and that Fergie has already decided enough is enough.
