Giroud Update!

Giroud Update!

Yesterday we covered the speculation linking the Montpellier striker, Oliver Giroud, with a move to Old Trafford.

As if by some strange quirk of fate, the same striker`s future is discussed by another tabloid this morning with it being inferred that Arsenal could be his destination.

Giroud, we`ve now uncovered, is under contract at the La Ligue side until 2014 but that he has a buy-out clause, in his contract, of £12.8 million.

Last season, as Montpelllier achieved their La Ligue triumph, Giroud netted 21 times in 36 games, a scoring rate that is impressive in any league.

As to where his future lies, we suggest you stay tuned!

I don't see why we need him but at 12.8 mil for Ligue 1 top goal scorer we wouldn't be doing too bad for ourself. If the club feel we need another striker then who am I to argue? Could potentially be a sensational move.
