Neville Appointment Criticized

Neville Appointment Criticized

Here at Vital Manchester United we`re pleased that the United old-boy, Gary Neville, has landed a plum job alongside Roy Hodgson in the England camp.

But, before he`s even uttered a word in anger as a coach with the England set-up, another of our old-boys, Roy Keane, has come out with a verbal tirade questioning Neville`s suitability, remarking in a leading tabloid this morning,

"Everyone says it`s a good appointment, but I`d say let`s wait and see. Gary hasn`t done any coaching before - I know he has the qualifications, but sitting in a studio talking about teams is very different."

"I`m pretty sure if England have a decent tournament, Roy Hodgson and his staff will get the praise. But if they don`t get the results the manager will get the criticism and people will no doubt be criticizing Gary too."

"Gary played at a decent level but that doesn`t guarantee success. At Old Trafford he always had his say but wasn`t as influential as people think. He didn`t call the shots, far from it."

No need for that Roy, no need for that!

In Gary we have faith!

Fair enough saying lets wait and see how he gets on first but then what's his problem with the dig at the end? Shouldn't he be supporting his team mates like they no doubt supported him when he tries and failed managing?
