Rooney Carrying an Injury!

He may be appearing to be having a good time over in the USA but the tabloid press are reporting that Wayne has been carrying an injury in the latter weeks of the season.

But, whilst the injury seem so t begetting significant coverage, not one tabloid seems to know exactly what the injury is, although one has provided some quotes from Roy Hodgson about Wayne being allowed to rest before belatedly joining up with the remainder of the England squad with Hodgson remarking,

"Wayne has been playing with a slight injury for the last three of four games. That needs a couple of weeks to clear up so he has been given more time off."

"He won`t be involved in Norway game and I don`t know about the Belgium match yet. He will certainly be with us."

"He is not coming to training this week, or to Oslo. He will join up with us the same time as the Champions League players."

"When I offered him a couple more days rest, he was adamant he wanted to get stuck in."

"His enthusiasm for the task was fantastic. We have got time to get people fit."

"The fitness side of things doesn`t bother me. If Wayne needs a bit of topping up we will do that."

With Wayne being banned for the first two games of the Euro 2012 Finals, he should have plenty of time to recuperate.

He's not going to take part in some pointless friendlies? Oh no... :P to be honest it's better he doesn't take part in them as England are goin to have to cope without him for the first 2 group games anyway.
