Gill Hits the Nail on the Head

Gill Hits the Nail on the Head

Yesterday the inference, from the media guys, was that Manchester united would fight Manchester City all the way for the signature of the exciting 21 year-old Lille playmaker, Eden Hazard.

Possibly on the back of that inference and aware that our noisy-neighbours often pay silly money, in the way of salaries, to attract players, our Chief Executive, David Gill, has had a sideswipe at City commenting to the media hacks,

"A player coming to United has the benefit of playing in front of 76,000 every week. We have our history and heritage. The romance of United is there for everyone to see."

"Whilst other clubs may pay slightly more, we pay very good salaries and the commercial spin-offs, if they choose that route, are probably better at United."

And who am I to argue!

Only too happy to reply Red Boy. Where would this site be without us Blues giving you hits eh? If it's about the romance and the rest of the guff that Gill has come out with, then why the need to pay the big salaries? Why is R**ney the highest paid player in the PL if it's all about the romance? So full of *****.

Here we go again. Claim to be interested in signing the top players like Hazard and so on to appease the fans, instead sign some 2nd rate player and claim he has the potential to be world class (Bebe, Carrick, Anderson, Obertan) or simply raid the old folks home and bring back Keane and Djemba Djemba. Happy Days.

Well I doubt Hazard will happen as I reckon he's off to City and to be honest I prefer Kagawa (for a number of reasons ive stated before) which looks very promising at the moment. Who else we're after I really have no idea.

Kagawa's a pretty decent player, no doubt about it - but the only reason you've got a chance of signing him is because he's in the last year of his contract.
