Nani Shock!

I read a comment, recently, that inferred that Nani blew hot and cold.

The comment explained that his influence in games can vary from being a major influence to an almost non existent role.

Giving it some hard thought I had to accept the author probably had a point, which is why I tend to believe that one gossip column may well be barking up the right tree with a suggestion printed this morning in a tabloid.

The inference being that although United are, reportedly, trying to negotiate a new deal with Nani, with his contract expiring the summer after this one, United wouldn`t be too amiss if Nani started playing hardball over a deal that would see his salary rise from a cool £90,000 a week to a huge £120,000 a week. The inference being that they`d be happy to sell him for £30 million.

I`m a little perplexed, both over the intended salary bit also what, to me, seems an inflated transfer fee, but what are your views?

He's a game changing player on his day and I wouldn't think of selling him until his truly fulfilled his potential but yet for some inexplicable reason still remains inconsistent, which is unlikely as that gets ironed out as you develop. After buying him for 18 mil and waiting 3 years for him to develop I'd like to see us sought the rewards for the fee, patience and development involved. Fair play if the club sell him though because he got greedy and demanded money his ability doesn't justify. With regards to his inconsistency, half the squad is inconsistent and, in fairness to him, if the midfield is having a ***** game his not going to get the service he needs to make an impact. Fair play Nani can go missing but when he does so has half the team on the field.
