Owen - Not Ready For Retirement

Owen - Not Ready For Retirement

According to one tabloid, Michael Owen has been deemed surplus to requirements, for next season.

The thirty-two year old, awarded an additional year on his contract this time last year, started only three games for United this season with much of his time spent on the treatment table.

But, at thirty-two years of age, Owen isn`t seeking to retire and is open to offers.

I wonder where he`ll end up!

Fair play to Owen but unfortunately for him I don't think there will be too many top flight clubs interested in an injury-prone 33(?) year old. Thanks for your efforts and best of luck for the future. The right move by the club he offered back-up which we really never needed and he was too injured to offer and now we've freed up 40k off the wage bill and trimmed the squad of a player not United-standard.
