Rooney - Redemption!

Rooney - Redemption!

The worst thing about the events of Sunday is that there is no chance of getting it out of the system in the following game.

The end of the season means that those thoughts of what might have been linger until the new season kicks off in August.

Wayne Rooney, who will be going to Euro 2012, but will serve a two game suspension before he kicks a ball in anger, has a few reflections on the events of Sunday published in the tabloid press this morning, thoughts that read,

"Sunday was a difficult day for everyone. One minute you think you have won the title, then we haven`t which was heartbreaking."

"That`s how it goes sometimes. We have to believe in ourselves. We have to look forward to next season and hopefully we can win some trophies."

"I am sure we will be back. We all believe in ourselves."

But like I say, the chance ot get some kind of redemption is a long way off, August to be precise.

Not much chance of getting it out of your system next season to be honest. Nor in all likelihood the one after either. You're going to have to deal with it I'm afraid, or turn into bitter reds!
