De Gea Breakthrough

As one international career, that of Rio Ferdinand, appears to bite the dust, another looks set to get started.

Spain, the reigning World Cup winners, have two friendly fixtures lined up ahead of the forthcoming Euro 2012 Finals and our very own David De Gea has received his first call-up to the squad.

Here`s hoping he gets the chance to show what he can do.

Give him a few years to continue developing his game and I reckon he'll be better than Van Der Sar ever was and challenging Casillas for the first teams spot. Well done De Gea you deserve your call up for how you've settled at the club and how well you've done and turned your game around.
