Scholes Signs One Year Deal

Scholes Signs One Year Deal

The speculation has ended regarding Paul Scholes and the will-he or won`t-he saga.

Manchester United announced yesterday that thirty-seven year-old Scholes has put pen-to-paper on a one year deal that will see him remain at Old Trafford for the 2012/2013 season.

Speaking about the deal, Sir Alex Ferguson has remarked,

"It`s done, he`s staying. Paul knew that he`d made a mistake in retiring."

"When I spoke to him that time, I maybe spoke to him a bit early. But he knows now that if he plays 25 or 30 games next season they`ll be of real quality."

"We know the player he is very well, because we`ve had him since he was a kid. We know how to use him."

We`re sure that Scholes will excel next season just as he has in the latter half of this season.

Oh well, looks as though you won't be seeing much in the way of transfer activity during the summer then.
