We Must Bounce Back!

We have no choice!

As the dust starts to settle on what was a season that kept the neutral enthralled until the end and the party held by our noisy-neighbours to celebrate their first top-flight title triumph for forty-four years begins to come to a conclusion you have to ask - where do United go from here?

Naturally, behind the scenes, there will be some kind of inquest and we`d expect Sir Alex Ferguson to move fast to strengthen the squad, although who we sign could also depend on the size of the cheque dangled amidst competition from our noisy-neighbours.

One thing that United will take away from the trail of disappointment that was Sunday is the desire, and drive, to use that disappointment to ensure we come back stronger next season.

Following the last minute switch-around on Sunday, Rio Ferdinand has stepped forward and offered the following comments to the media,

"It`s cruel to lose the title on the last day in almost the last kick of the game. We have to dust ourselves down and get ready for next season."

"Tasting defeat, especially in this manner, makes it that much better when you win."

"You have to remember what it`s like to lose and that`s a feeling you don`t want to experience again."

"We`ve got to make sure we learn from this, deal with it, push on and make sure it never happens again."

We certainly do because watching our noisy-neighbours celebrate in the city centre last night brought tears to my eyes for all the wrong reasons!
