Van Nistelrooy Retires

At the age of thirty-five an old servant of hours has called it a day and retired.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has called it a day after helping his latest club qualify for a place in next seasons Champions League for the first time in their history.

Wherever Ruud plied his trade he did a superb job although it was at Old Trafford that he enjoyed the best spell of his career.

Talking about his decision Ruud has come up with the classic line,

"I`ve arrived at my physical limit but couldn`t have had a better send-off."

Enjoy your retirement Ruud, you deserve to!

Thought he'd played for you for a couple of seasons, rather than a few hours.

Fair play to one of the deadliest strikers football has ever seen. Hope he enjoys his retirement.
