Neville Lands England Job!

Is anyone else gob-smacked?

The reason I ask is that the announcement that Gary Neville has been given a four year contract to coach England, alongside Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson, who has already added Ray Lewington to his coaching staff, will have Gary Neville alongside him as England prepare for the Euro 2012 Finals.

As for being gob-smacked, whilst I`ve admired Gary`s stint as a pundit on Sky Sports, his lack of any coaching qualifications made him a real rank-outsider to assist Roy.

I guess all that punditry must have impressed the right people!

He does have coaching qualifications, still a shock though. It'll be Beckham next...

and Scholes in the squad, are we really that desperate?
merlin
Yes. Yes, we are. Wouldn't make much difference though we're ***** no matter who we have. It starts with over expectant fans and media and a team that just can't play together or do it on the international stage.
TheFamousNo7
That's because there is no team TF7, just a collection of over hyped players. Poor old Roy has his work cut out to forge the right mentality before the tournament kicks in. I do believe he could bring them together as a team given time, which he probably won't get when the media get their claws into him.
Bluedub
Roy will do better than most expect. All he needs is a bit of luck and a fresh approach with plenty of new blood in the midfield and up front.
