'If It's Football, It's Vital'

You`ve A Long Way to Go Still!

Yesterday was, in a word, torture.

There`s no other way to dress up the fact that the way events unfurled were tantamount to being poked in the eye with a red hot poker.

For the neutral there`s no disagreeing that what occurred was pure Hollywood drama but to us United fans it was the cruelest of ways in which to deprive us of a twentieth top flight title.

But, talk of the 'balance of power` having now swung from the red half of Manchester to the blue half, is a bit premature and in the aftermath of the sudden and dramatic events yesterday evening, Sir Alex Ferguson responded to such a question in an emphatic manner, replying,

"They can go on as much as they like. That`s what you would expect. But the history of our club stands us aside."

"We don`t need to worry about that. I think we have a rich history, better than anyone, and it`ll take then a century to get to our level."

"For us, it`s a challenge - and we`re good at challenges. We`ll kick on from here."

Some choice words there but I get the impression they`ll be drowned out by the cacophony of noise coming from our noisy-neighbours who partied well into the night (and beyond) I`d imagine!

History? isnt that past tense?,it's like saying Dickens wrote some good books...... and Were classics, they were, but there is a new kid on the block and he is rewriting history...City have long way to go to catch Manure titles and cups but we have made a start and it may last for long time, the Sheikh is here for the long termwith the investment inEast Manchester, will the Glazers be at Old Toilet for the long term?and what investment have they Put into Man U's coffers or helped with the fans enjoyment of the match?like what City and the Sheikh has done at The Etihad?
