'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Time to Think!

Whilst some have sneered that it smacked of desperation to bring 37 year-old Paul Scholes out of retirement, there`s no doubting that Scholes has been pure class.

However, as to whether we`ll see Paul in action next season remains an unanswered question.

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he`s not discussed the issue with Scholes yet, proclaiming,

"I haven`t discussed it with him - I made the mistake last time of talking to him before the season had finished. He is better getting it over with and having a break."

My view is that Paul will sign on for another season, how about you?

He's a fantastic player and definitely one anyone would want in their squad. However, Fergie really does need to let him take a smaller squad role at the club and use him more sparingly. The more we use Scholes the more talented youngsters like Pogba and Morrison will leave us as they can't get a chance, they don't even get a punt taken on them. Their might be some downfalls to giving youngsters a chance but ultimately it provides them invaluable experience for the long term. By persisting with playing players who physically aren't fit enough and can't cope with a 50 game season we are at risk of losing future squad players.
