Carrick Missing!
With it becoming public knowledge, yesterday, that Chris Smalling will miss the rest of the season, United have been dealt a further blow.
Needing something of a last-day miracle, Sir Alex Ferguson will have been rocked by the news that Michael Carrick will be absent for the trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland tomorrow (Sunday).
Carrick, it is understood, has been absent from training through illness and his place in the United starting eleven is likely to be taken by either Tom Cleverley or Ji-Sung Park.
