Fabio in Benfica Link

It`s been mentioned before that Sir Alex Ferguson could well be looking to loan our young Brazilian full-back, Fabio, out next season.

Fabio hasn`t been getting sufficient match-time this season and the consensus of opinion amongst the Old Trafford coaching staff is that Rafael`s twin brother may well benefit from regular first team exposure at another club.

Today comes the first speculation as to where Fabio might end up with the Portuguese giants, Benfica, being reported as being very interested in opening talks to take Fabio to Lisbon.

It certainly sounds like a dream loan move to me!

It would be great for him,get regular playing time for a top team and in that way he can only get better. This seems perfect for both the parties.Benfica get a player of real potential while Utd get him some playing time.Great!!!!!!!!

If there were to be a Gaitan deal as well then it would help on that front as well!!!!

This will only intensify Gaitan speculation. Fabio has unfortunately been plagued with injuries since joining us and hasn't been able to display his talent due to it and a combination of his competition for LB being a world class, experienced LB. I can't help but feel that if, like Rafael, he had game time and was give the opportunity to come on then like his brother he would have so hopefully this loan provides him with just that. Torn between who I would prefer between Kagawa, Hazard and Gaitan :P
