Best Premier League Goal Ever!

With the Premier League celebrating its 20th birthday, various awards have been up for grabs.

It turns out that when it comes to the Premier League Goal of the 20 Seasons Award, the winner has been announced as being Wayne Rooney.

The goal that won the award was his splendid over head kick against Manchester City in the February 2011 derby match.

Rooney`s goal polled 26% of the vote prompting Rooney to remark,

"To be voted the best goal in the history of the Premier League is a great feeling."

"I`d like to thank all the fans that voted for me."

Will he score a better one n his career? Who knows but who`d bet against it!

Rooney won't score a better goal, or even similar goal ever again. When you take into consideration the amount of pressure on him, the technique involved (and bit of luck), the strength of the opposition and the occasion in which it was scored I don't think there's much argument and that's what makes the goal so special.

What the 'Shinned' goal...... there is lot better than that, not biased but there is.....The lad Rose from Spurs v Arsenal, was better than Rooneys..
