The tabloid press is inferring that Sir Alex Ferguson may deploy a selection shock this evening.

Seemingly, they`re suggesting that Sir Alex will abandon his normal formation whereby two strikers are deployed to play Wayne Rooney as a lone striker whilst also deploying five across the middle of the park to stifle Manchester City.

They`ve even gone so afar as to infer that Sir Alex will used Ji-Sung Park for the first time in eight games believing the Korean has the ability, and skills, to disrupt the likes of Silva and Nasri.

It remains to be seen if they`ve gauged the situation right!

Have to agree NW - park did nothing except slow down your attacks - not exactly a tactical masterstroke by Taggart that. Any ideas why he left Valencia on the bench? Not complaining, but i do reckon he's been your most effective player this season, and I'm left scratching my head that he didn't come on until it was too late.

Really poor season from Park this year, he's struggled in nearly every game his played in and with nothing but a string of poor performances and lack of match practice behind him i can't see the logic in his and Giggs selection. Fergie was poor tonight, bewildered firstly at the omission of both Welbeck and Valencia and also by the inability to bring them on with enough time to get into the game to make an impact. Park should've been brought off sooner whilst Giggs was lucky to stay on as he was another who should've been taken off.

I really dont have a clue why he left Park in at half time and Valencia on the bench - Antonia is a great old skool winger - I thing we may have had more attacks if he had been playing from the start even.
Another thing - I think Fergie played for the draw - hats off to City - you deserved it, but lets see on that final day what happens :)
