Wanted - Sigurdsson

Wanted - Sigurdsson

According to the tabloid press, Manchester United are showing an interest in Swansea`s Gylfi Sigurdsson.

It`s being reported that Sir Alex sent Mike Phelan to watch the Icelandic midfielder at Bolton.

Sigurdsson is on loan at Swansea from the German club Hoffenheim. So far, since arriving in South Wales, he`s scored 7 times in 14 games, a very healthy ratio for a midfielder.

It`s thought that there is a price of £10 million on his head although, naturally, a United interest could very well see that rise.

Phelan watching him doesn't really mean much seeing as we've got Swansea after City and we could just be scouting the opposition. Wouldn't mind Suggurdson to be honest, he would be a great squad player and perhaps if he keeps developing a good first team player. His confidence in his long range efforts and shooting ability is something we've lacked for ages with only an ageing Scholes showing that confidence and even then it's in glimpses.
