Evans Fitness Concern

As we prepare to head off towards our date with destiny, at the Etihad Stadium, there are concerns about the fitness of one of our key players.

Jonny Evans, who has stepped into the breach left by Nemanja Vidic perfectly and who must be in the running for the United Player of the Year Award, hasn`t trained with the first team squad all week after picking up a knock last time out.

With defensive solidarity a key to our success on Monday and with the horrors of our defensive fallibility fresh in our minds after Everton came back to take two points off of us in a scintillating 4-4 draw, Evans presence, on Monday night, is a must.

Let`s hope he can shake off this knock and resume his partnership with Rio Ferdinand.
