'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Times-Up?

We always said that our noisy-neighbours taking on Owen Hargreaves was a risky decision.

After all the latter end of his United career had been littered with injuries and Owen rarely kicked a ball in anger.

Therefore, the news that our noisy-neighbours are not going to offer the ex-England international a new contract when his current one expires at the end of this season; doesn`t surprise me, eve more so when you consider his appearances in a sky-blue shirt have been even more sporadic than those in a red shirt.

Now I could, like some City visitors to our site, make a few cheap jibes about the situation but I refuse to lower myself to that level and I`ll simply take a few moments of my private time to mull over what a loss Owen has been to English football since his career became blighted by injury.

Poor sod. If both ours and City's physios couldn't see him return to full fitness I just can't see it happening for him full stop. Best of luck to Hargo and I do hope to see him on the football field again.
