Pick Yourselves Up

Sunday, when we entertain Aston Villa, gives Manchester United the perfect opportunity to shake off the effects of Wednesday night when we suffered a rare defeat up at the DW Stadium.

It`s essential that we get our title aspirations back on track and don`t give City the merest hint of a possibility of a comeback.

Speaking about just those points, Ryan Giggs has commented in the tabloid press,

"We don`t have to get too down. It has happened quite a bit this season where there has been the odd display where we just haven`t performed."

"The main thing is that we have recovered from it. That is what we have to do again."

"It is important that we get six points form these next two games. We are at Old Trafford, we are at home."

"We`ll be looking to win both and put the pressure on. We have had poor performances throughout the season but we have always bounced back."

"We didn`t perform against Wigan."

"Our normal passing game wasn`t as fluent. We kept giving the ball away. You have tp give credit to Wigan. They put us under a lot of pressure."

"They worked hard. But that is something we come up against quite a bit, so that is not an excuse for us to be able to handle it."

"We didn`t keep the ball like Manchester United normally do. We only had one or two shots on goal, which is also disappointing."

"We will have to look at the game, work on it and get ready for Sunday."

Villa, looking at their recent form, are there for the taking but, as Wigan showed, you just never know in this strange game of ours!
