'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Fear!

Does anyone else think it is all the sweeter the way we`ve clawed ourselves back into the position of favourites for the title?

It`s widely respected, in football; that Sir Alex Ferguson has the knack of being able to get his teams embarked on a magnificent run as the climax to a season approaches and that is something he has done this time around.

Ashley Young, one of the goal-scorers from the Monday night trip to Ewood Park has offered a few comments, to the media, about just such a trait, commenting,

"A lot of people wrote us off earlier in the season with City being seven points clear."

"But we`ve just been going about our job quietly and now we`ve managed to claw it back."

"The pressure has always been on City - there aren`t any nerves coming from our side."

"We don`t play with fear and we haven`t got any nervousness going into games."

"We`ve got the momentum going into the final stretch of the season."

We most certainly have!

Seven points clear? He's obviously including when U*d didn't play until 24 hours after City. It's never been more than 5 points on a week to week basis. On average U*d drop 5 points from their last 6 games in the PL.

Doesn't mean anything bluedub, that statistic doesn't take into consideration the titles whereby we've had it wrapped up and played youth/reserve players and dropped points nor the seasons whereby we'd done poorly or had a harder run in. Also, I assume city don't drop any points during theist 6 games also?
TheFamousNo7
It actually does take that into account TF7. The blog I gleaned the stat from is on The Independent's website, interesting reading if you get the chance. Why would you assume that City don't drop points in their last 6 mate?
