Not being a permanent fixture, in the first team, in recent weeks, Ashley Young put in a decent shift, last night, at Ewood Park.
It was a shift that culminated in the second goal of the night, giving United all three points and thereby increasing the agony for any watching Manchester City players.
The goal was sublime in its conversion, with a curling shot coming back in to creep inside the post giving the Blackburn goalkeeper, Paul Robinson, no chance of keeping it out.
Commenting after the match, Ashley had views about both goals, Valencia`s cross-cum-shot and his own strike, remarking,
"To get that first goal, whether it was a shot of cross, delighted us and I`d put my goal up there with my best."
I`m not quite sure it was that good but who am I to argue?
