'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Few Thoughts on Last Night

For seventy seven minutes last night, things were going exactly as we'd hoped!

Sadly, Manchester City proved they have some mettle by not only getting back into the game but snatching a late winner.

The 85th minute strike, from Nasri, saw City close the gap to a solitary point and with United not playing Fulham until Monday evening, there is a definite prospect that by the time we entertain Martin Jol`s side, we could be back in second place.

With nine games to go, the title race really is on a knife-edge and it`s all pointing towards the clash, between the two sides, at the Etihad, as being the title defining fixture.

Speaking about the title race, our injured club captain - Nemanja Vidic, has summed it up perfectly when offering the following thoughts on what is required to secure that record breaking 20th title triumph, commenting to the media,

"It`s all in our hands now. We need to treat the nine games left like Champions League finals."

With twenty-seven points to play for there is the distinct possibly that we`ll need all twenty-seven to be crowned Champions, again.

I hope you win the league. Your success is down to Ferguson's vision and dedication NOT some Russian or Arab sugar daddy. Wish you the best.

Oh look, another article about Manchester City on a Stretford Redsox site. Funny that - is the pressure starting to get to you then? And Gunnerfan - PMSL. You need to stop reading all those tabloids, it'll rot what's left of your mind.
