Although the goal-scoring record of Dimitar Berbatov speaks for itself, a story in the press this morning insinuates that the Bulgarian is surplus to requirements possibly because Sir Alex Ferguson is seeking a change in playing style.
This insinuation appears to be based on meetings Berbatov`s agent, Emil Danchev, has had with the boss with the agent being quoted as having remarked,
"I had three meetings with Sir Alex. He`ll try to build a team for the next three or four years and Berbatov isn`t part of this."
"Ferguson wants to change the playing style, to implement more speed."
"I`m pleased United will not oppose Berbatov`s move in the summer."
So it looks as if a parting of the ways is certain!
