'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Berbatov`s Future

Very much on the fringe of things this season, the first inference that Dimitar Berbatov may be off, shortly, has come from the boss.

Talking ahead of our bid to recover our first leg deficit, in the Europa League, against Athletico Bilbao, Sir Alex Ferguson has commented about Dimitar`s situation,

"We will be taking up the option on his contract but I understand he wants first-team football."

"It`s difficult for me to guarantee that so it could lead to him looking elsewhere."

"I`d listen to what he says. His concern is he`s not getting enough first-team football at 31 years of age."

What remains to be seen is what kind of value United will put on the player.

We might've been able to grab 10-ish mil from one of the billionaire clubs last summer but now being 31 and actually wanting to leave I think we'd be lucky to grab 6 mil for him.

would have him back at Spurs for the right money, though I cant see it happening. he was a great player for us, but for whatever reason he never really hit the same heights with you.

I agree with my fellow Oxford Spurs supporter, I would like him back at Spurs. Like most Spurs supporters I felt he would make you more stronger at our expense, but this has not been the case.
