United V Fulham Travel Advice

A new feature for Vital Manchester United will be an update before each game for those of you that have decided that watching it on Sky would be dull.

Please note, the information given on this website will be valid at the time of posting, based on planned engineering works, train times found using National information. You should still check before you leave the house!

(Directions to Old Trafford Can Be Found on the Official Club Website)

Trains

National Rail Enquiries have posted information regarding work going on the line between Crewe and Manchester/Manchester Airport. The trains are stopping at Stockport where you have to get on a flippin` bus. Expect to add at least 30 minutes to your journey if your travelling from the South. The works affect all trains travelling from Southern England through Crewe, sadly no realistic way around it-sorry!

Tram

Metrolink are not reporting any problems in advance for matchday, and trams leave Piccadilly (Railway) Station every 12 minutes. Do be aware there is a chance that the tram could be BUSY! Oh and as always, its damn expensive.

Away Supporters

A little help for our friends from London. If your travelling to Manchester by car, good luck that'll be a fun journey for you and I'm sure your £400 TomTom will thoroughly p*** you off well before you get to Old Trafford.

Public transport, Vital Man Utd's advice would be to take the 0835 Virgin Trains service from Euston-Stockport. Then pick up said bus from Stockport into Manchester. This should get you to Piccadilly for 1200, leaving you an hour and a half before kick off.
