Caution: Low Flying Toy Alert

Caution: Low Flying Toy Alert

England and Bayern Munich superstar midfielder (well he is now, isn't he England fans) Owen Hargreaves is set to demand! a move from the German club, with his heart seemingly set on Manchester United.

Numerous websites and news companies have reported that Sir Alex has put in a firm offer with Bayern which was rejected pretty much on the spot. Ze German's are hoping to keep hold of Owen, who impressed both in the World Cup and in this weeks 4-0 tonking of the supposed European Champions.

Not sure if he was maybe getting ahead of himself, or was mis-quoted in the press about demanding to leave. Certainly on Wednesday night after an impressive game, he back-tracked and went to the standard phraseology of footballers wanting to leave.

'Obviously I'm still a Bayern Munich player.

'There's a lot been said but what will happen in the future I don't really know myself.'

Nice one Owen, we know what you mean ;-)

He would be an excellent signing and woud play well with Carrick which will also be good for England, however I cannot see Bayern letting him go cheap especially as they know what you paid for Carrick and from what I have heard this afternoon they really are playing hardball to get the price up!!

i never really rated him but his recent performances while dealing with all the flak thats gone his way has impressed me and if he can continue to perform while under such pressure then he would make a very good signing for us, he's a better player than carrick so will probably cost more, hopefully we can give bayern carrick in part exchange as he's about as much use as a paralysed ronny rosenthal
