Standing on the Threshold

Standing on the Threshold

On Sunday, Sir Alex Ferguson chose to go with a front three of Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck.

Forgive me if I`m wrong but I believe that is the first time that all three have started in a Premier League fixture for us.

For Welbeck it has been a decent season, having come back from being on loan at Sunderland last season, Danny has integrated into the starting eleven exceedingly well and now stands on the threshold of being involved in a campaign that could see him land a Premier League winners` medal.

Talking about what lies ahead Danny had this to say,

"I think we`ll get confidence from our recent results but we know there is no room for complacency at all."

"We`re getting to the end of the season and winning is vital. We need to get as many points as possible."

"We are just focusing on ourselves knowing the next match is always the most important. You can`t afford to slip up at any point."

Sir Alex knows, from previous campaigns, that one slip up is all that is needed to see any hopes of a title slip away!
