Rooney on Hitting Top Spot

Rooney on Hitting Top Spot

Fresh from another two-goal burst, it was a contented Wayne Rooney that face dup to the media inquisition after the West Bromwich Albion game.

Rooney, now on twenty-six goals for the season, spoke about hitting top-spot and the implications, remarking,

"This is where we want to be at the finish."

"I don`t think we have had the credit we deserve these past few months."

"Europe has been disappointing but we`ve played well against the big teams recently. We`ve not always been at our best but we fully deserve to be top."

I`d concur with that last line.
