'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Young`s Return

Although, to be brutally honest, Spurs were unlucky to be on the receiving end of a 3-1 defeat on Sunday, there were some good individual performances from United players.

Two that spring immediately to mind were those given by Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Young.

Ferdinand gave an imperious display at the heart of the United defence, coping admirably with the threat that Saha and Adebayor presented but, Rio, in a post match interview given afterwards, had nothing but praise for Ashley Young, remarking,

"It is fantastic to see Ashley back. It takes you a couple of games to get back into the groove. Before his injury he was flying and now it looks like he`s back into form."

It certainly looked that way and long may it continue.
