De Gea`s Coming Good

The conundrum we set, some time ago, relating to who you perceived should be between the sticks for United, continues to provide some interesting conversation.

Not too long ago, we though that Anders Lindegaard had done enough to warrant being first choice but, after suffering an injury in training, the Dane has watched on as David De Gea has produced some performances that underline why Sir Alex Ferguson was keen to spend big and lure the young Spaniard to Old Trafford.

One of those performances was at Carrow Road, this Sunday, with De Gea keeping at bay and enthusiastic Norwich side that pushed United all the way, prompting Sir Alex to remark afterwards,

"We always knew he had the potential. But this game was confirmation of how good he`s going to be."

The heir apparent to Edwin van der Sar then!
