'If It's Football, It's Vital'

England Representation

The England squads have been announced and Manchester United are well represented.

Stuart Pearce, in temporary charge, after the resignation of Fabio Capello earlier this month, has selected 6 United players for the friendly international with Holland.

The six being:-

• Phil Jones
• Chris Smalling
• Danny Welbeck
• Tom Cleverley
• Ashley Young
• Wayne Rooney

As far as the U21 squad goes, 2 United players have been selected.

The two being:-

• Ben Amos
• Will Keane

Hopefully most, if not all, will see some action.

The England selection has left me baffled slightly. Whilst it's great to see Cleverley in the side he has just come back from injury and hasn't played much first team football to warrant a place. Downing has been ****** since joining Liverpool and has no form behind him backing up his selectiong. Walcott has got in over Chamberlain somehow, yeah Chamberlain is young but his performances, work rate and attitude all are more deserving of a place than Walcott. Campbell is another who has only just got back from injury. Cole has been in horrendous form for club, getting beat on numerous occassions by numerous average wingers. Are we playing an experimental side full of youngsters or are we playing our best side based on form? It looks like it's caught too much in the middle. Not that I'm expecting us to but Holland anyway.
