'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Two or Three more Years!

Things are a little quiet as we sit, patiently, waiting for the second leg of our Europa League tie, with Ajax, this Thursday.

But, as usual, Sir Alex Ferguson continues to be featured in the media.

This time the basis of many a media article relates to just how long Sir Alex thinks he`ll continue as the manager of Manchester United.

Sir Alex`s latest words, on the subject, would indicate that he has no immediate plans to retire looking to continue for at least a couple more seasons and then moving into an ambassadorial role, commenting,

"I`ll remain active. I think there will be a role at United after I finish."

"I don`t know how long it`s going to last now, but if my health holds up, I don`t see another two or three years would harm me. I think you need stamina in my job and I think I`ve blessed with good stamina."

"I`ll know when it`s time when I`m not enjoying it. I think if I got to a point where I`m not enjoying it, I`d definitely get out."

"I think you always want to go out on a winning note and hopefully we can."

Naturally, the subject of a possible replacement for Sir Alex, when he does decide to retire, conclude many of the articles with David Moyes and Jose Mourinho being the names mentioned.

All we say, at this moment in time, is that whoever takes over will have their work cut out working in the shadow of Sir Alex and what the Scot has achieved for us during his tenure as manager.
