Conceding the Tie?
Although we`re taking nothing for granted, we`re not alone in thinking that the task that lies ahead, for Ajax, at Old Trafford could be a task too far.
Although Ajax demonstrated that they can spray the ball about in a manner almost befitting the total football sides of the era in which they made their name, you never really got the impression that they could seriously trouble a United side that looked as if they had a few gears they could go up.
The Ajax manager, Frank de Boer also recognizes that the two goal deficit will be too much for his side to overcome, remarking,
"There`s a difference in class between the two clubs."
"I don`t think we`re going to win 3-0 over there."
Now he`s either telling the truth or is a pretty decent poker player!
