Champions League Exit Still Mourned!

Champions League Exit Still Mourned!

Our Europa League debut is fast approaching this Thursday evening.

It`ll be strange appearing on Channel 5 on a Thursday evening but so be it.

However, despite his comments yesterday about being in it to win it, you get the feeling that Sir Alex Ferguson still rues getting knocked out of the big one (Champions League) and he believes it all came to a head in one game when he comments,

"It was a massive disappointment because my feeling is that if we`d gone through, we would have gone on to the final."

"The problem was the home game against Basel. We ended up losing our concentration and though we managed to salvage a draw, it was bad result."

"We dominated the return game, but didn`t score and when that happens you don`t deserve to win."

A fair prognosis but has the boss gone a little too far with the following claim,

"I don`t feel that we`re far away from Barcelona and Real Madrid. I`m sure we`ll show that soon."

Now I`ve heard of being confident but, are we close to the Spanish giants?

We are not that far off, once everyone is back and no injuries. I really want SAF to play the youngsters tonight, give Pogba a full game, and play the best up and comming reserves as well, and give Berba playing time..
