'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Another Stepping Stone?

The remarkable comeback of that golden-oldie, Paul Scholes, continues to gather pace.

A starter in the midfield against Liverpool, it`s now being suggested that Scholes could still do a job for England in the forthcoming Euro 21012 Finals.

Speaking about the possibility, the new England manager elect, Harry Redknapp, is of the belief that Scholes is just the man to stoke the engine of the national side, remarking,

"Age does not matter. No. Look at Paul Scholes. Let`s be honest, you would love to have him at the European Championships. He`s that good."

"He plays like the Spaniards, like Xavi, or Iniesta - he does not give the ball away."

If we remember right, Fabio Capello tried to entice Scholes out of international retirement and failed, could Harry do any different?

Might of got on a bit but he's a far better footballer than pretty much all the English CM's currently available. He made Gerrard look like a chump and there's no doubt he's better than Lampard. Not sure his got the legs to play an important first team role at the Euro's after this season though. Worst mistake by Eriksen was kicking him out of the England squad.
