Although the inference is that Dimitar Berbatov will put pen-to-paper on that contract extension, is everything as it seems?

The reason we ask is that Dimitar was the subject of much speculation in the recent transfer window and there were, it appears, several opportunities were there for Dimitar to move on and feature regularly when it comes to match time.

Hence the question in the opening sentence whereby we question everything may not be as it seems.

The word on the grapevine is that although Dimitar has signed on the dotted line he has reiterated his disappointment at a lack of playing time in recent times at Old Trafford!
