Another Fergie Moan

Another Fergie Moan

Monday wouldn`t be a Monday without a right old moan from Sir Alex appearing in the tabloid press.

His time, following the magnificent 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge, Sir Alex has an earful for the referee`s assistant who didn`t see two quite blatant penalties, remarking,

"That linesman has given penalty kicks against us from 45 yards away - against Liverpool last year and Arsenal this year - and yet he cannot see that one. I don`t blame Howard Webb. He needed all the help in that situation and he didn`t get it."

"Then there`s the pull on Ashley Young in the box right in front of the linesman."

"The assistant referee who`s all to happy to flag for penalty kicks at Old Trafford, didn`t give them. I don`t know where they get them from."

"Maybe Ashley did go down easily but his jersey was pulled and you can clearly see that. If you pull his shirt he`s not diving."

"But we had two penalties in the second half I think were justified. So I think we could have had four penalties and a winning game."

In a way you`ve got to agree with the boss but then again sometimes you think some things are better not said, especially after receiving a five game touchline ban for remarks made about officials the last time we visited Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
