'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It`s Halsey!

There were some dark looks when Martin Atkinson was chosen to officiate in this tie.

Atkinson, as you are all aware, was in charge when Chelsea beat us and Sir Alex Ferguson let rip and received a five game ban for his verbal attack.

Well Atkinson had to withdraw from refereeing this fixture after falling ill and his replacement is none other than Mark Halsey.

Halsey is something of a lucky omen for United.

When Halsey has been in charge, in our last eight games we`ve won the lot. Furthermore, we`ve scored 18 goals in those eight games and conceded none.

Halsey was also in charge when we won 1-0 at Liverpool in December 2007.

Good omen or clutching at straws?
